What is Raspberry Pi?

You may say it as a mini computer of size of credit cards with an Armed processor, memory and graphical capabilities.

Tiny, Cheap, Portable are the qualities that makes this printed circuit board(PCB) as a popular device that has proved to promote the teaching basic computer science in school and developing countries.

It can be said as world's cheapest computer model that is made in Wales and is priced at just $5. It features:

   - 1GHz ARM 11 core processor

   - 512MB SDRAM

   - A mini HDMI sockets for data and power

   - A micro-SD card slot

   - Micro-USB sockets for data and power 

   - An unpopulated 40-pin GPIO header

   - An unpopulated composite video header

   - Smallest ever form factor, at 65mm x 30mm x 5mm

What does it do?

Although it was designed to teach young people to program, it is capable of doing alot of other things like a portable mini computer, media center, security system, network storage, program robots,etc and etc.

Linux- kernel was the primarily used operating software 

in the raspbery pi. With the development it uses variety   

of flavors of Linux. Rasbian is the official operating 

system in nowadays models.
