Raspberry Pi

Raspberry Pi

What is Raspberry Pi?

You may say it as a mini computer of size of credit cards with an Armed processor, memory and graphical capabilities.
Tiny, Cheap, Portable are the qualities that makes this printed circuit board(PCB) as a popular device that has proved to promote the teaching basic computer science in school and developing countries.

Raspberry Pi Zero: The $5 computer

Raspberry Pi Zero
It can be said as world's cheapest computer model that is made in Wales and is priced at just $5. It features:

   - 1GHz ARM 11 core processor
   - 512MB SDRAM
   - A mini HDMI sockets for data and power
   - A micro-SD card slot
   - Micro-USB sockets for data and power
   - An unpopulated 40-pin GPIO header
   - An unpopulated composite video header
   - Smallest ever form factor, at 65mm x 30mm x 5mm

What does it do?

Although it was designed to teach young people to program, it is capable of doing alot of other things like a portable mini computer, media center, security system, network storage, program robots, etc and etc.

Linux- kernel was the primarily used operating software
in the raspbery pi. With the development it uses variety
of flavors of Linux. Rasbian is the official operating

Inside USB Drive

How does pen drive works?

What is it?

USB flash drive can be termed as the external storage device that operates with the power supplied by the computer in which its plugged in. It can store data in a very convenient way and is widely used.It can be erased and reprogrammed as per user specifications. It can store data such as audio, video, images, documents, files, etc.

Components of USB

1. USB connector: It links the computer with the flash drive where the data are stored. In fact through this the data are transferred from and to the computer.
2.NAND flash memory: It is the place where files and all data are actually stored.
3. Controller chip: It is a link between computer and NAND chip. it is responsible in controlling the way of storing data in NAND chip.
3. Test points: It identifies defects on the board.
4. Crystal oscillator: It is a piece of quartz crystal for controlling the flow of information within USB drive.
5.LED : It is used for indicating the functioning of the drive.
6.Write Protect Switch: It controls the permission for making change in the information inside the drive.

Beside all, an extra space is left is left so that another memory can be chipped to increase the memory capacity.

LiFi:The Future Connection

LiFi-Future Connection

LiFi or Light Fidelity is a Visible Light Communication (VLC) system which uses light waves rather than radio technology to transfer information at a very high speed. It has bidirectional speed of 224 gigabits per second(Gbps)*under lab but in real life situation it has been proved to acquire speed of 1 Gbps which is also a ridiculous speed.

Tomorrow with LiFi

>LiFi pioneers pureLiFi with French lighting company Lucibel have aimed to bring out LiFi enabling products.

>Recent versions of iOS have been found to contain references to LiFi."LiFiCapabilities" has been mentioned in the system's source code hinting that Apple may ship future iPhones with LiFi capabilities.
